Social listening-Teenage engineering

     In a culture where "new trends" are recycled from 20 years ago, it can be hard to find a personal, original idea for your company or brand. A business I have had my eye on for some time, a Swedish luxury music developer called, “teenage engineering” (founded 2005) that I believe has taken company branding to a new level. They make audio devices like Audio mixers, speakers, recording devices, microphones, Basically everything you would need to start your DJ career and more.       I stumbled upon them on TikTok one day a few years ago. The post that I originally saw was for their OB-4 speakers. The video highlighted the features of this speaker, Including physical knobs to turn, a small turntable on the top of the box allows you to interact with the music in real time, whether that be on the radio, connected to bluetooth, or playing a CD. Marketing in the news- Airbnb raising the bar

  One of my favorite marketing campaigns that has been running within the last couple of years is the Airbnb animated ads, a clear simple idea that I think was executed perfectly. I am sure you have seen these ads on TV or YouTube, they compare the stay at a hotel vs the stay at an Airbnb, weighing the many advantages of staying at the private Airbnb. The slight variations in these ads cater to many. looking for a girls weekend? you don't want to be stuck in a public pool, use Airbnb. Visiting Paris? Stay in the trendiest neighborhoods with Airbnb. Each ad wraps up with the simple saying, "Get an Airbnb and get a place for yourself."  In The Drum article I read, Kendra Barnett met with the chief marketing officer Hiroki Asai, he explained that when Covid-19 hit in 2020 the tourism and travel industry took a toll. Getting to know me

My name is Addi Johnson, I moved to Oregon from Utah in when I was in the sixth grade. I am a very creative person. Painting and drawing are my favorite mediums. I also am a huge fan sitcoms, I share a deep appreciation for the dying genre. some of my favorite shows are, Arrested development, Seinfeld, and community(ironic). I love music and enjoy the sound of acoustic guitar.  I am in my first year of college here at LBCC. I have not decided what my major is going to be, but whatever I end up doing in college I want to end up somewhere I am free to let my mind roam wild. Right now I am taking classes for broad scope of majors, But I am interested in the psychology behind marketing. I hope to gain a better sense of when I'm getting sold something, and apply that to my job and other life goals.
